Beech stockwoods
S/n 475233 made in 1919. It shows typical "flaming" along the length of the stock.
Beech stocks can be found stained from light to dark. This particular rifle was
purchased from Paragon Sales in Illinois in 1988 for $39.95. It has a #3 bore and
all matching #. How many would you buy for that price now?
Different grain structure, but its still beech. S/n 482516 made in 1920.

Light colored beech with a nice square patch over a knot. S/n is 455376 made in 1918.
