Bajonettfakningsgevar m/1918
(Fencing Musket)
Not much is known for sure at this time about this Swedish fencing musket. It follows
the pattern and heft of the m/96 rifle. The stock has a hole for a standard disc but none
is present.
The ball-ended "bayonet" is spring-loaded so it compresses when thrust into an object.
The crown/C stamp indicates manufacture at Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori in Eskilstuna, and is serial numbered indicating a sizeable quantity made.
The triggerguard is also numbered and several other parts have the crown acceptance stamp. The bolt and receiver are one-piece and non-functional.
